The offer that sounds too good
"Free deductible" isn't a discount. It's a red flag.
A shop can't actually make your deductible disappear — it can only hide where the money comes from, usually by padding the estimate sent to your insurer. That's a false claim, and it can put your name on it right alongside theirs.
It's the share you signed up for when you bought your policy. Anyone "waiving" it is either eating the cost by cutting corners on your car, or misrepresenting the claim to your insurer — neither of which is a deal for you.
For roofing and property claims, Texas law bans waiving deductibles outright.

No — that's an outdated idea, and often something PDR-only shops say because they can't do paint work. Bad repaints came from cheap products and rushed prep, not the method itself. Done right, with a skilled technician and premium products, a modern refinish can match or even exceed the factory finish. How do you decide between PDR and paint? +
It comes down to the damage. If the paint is intact, PDR usually restores the panel perfectly and keeps your factory finish. If the paint is cracked, chipped, or the dents are too deep, we'll recommend paint and body work — and show you why. No upselling, no unnecessary repainting.
How long does a repair take? +
It depends on how much damage there is and whether it's PDR or paint work. Many hail repairs are finished in a few days; larger jobs or ones that need paint and body work can take up to a couple of weeks. Either way, we'll give you a realistic timeline with your estimate.
What will it cost me? +
